I’ve heard really good things about this place I made an appointment so exciting for my dog to washed and cut. I walk in to talk to the lady to check in and she told me I didn’t have a appointment I showed her the confirmation message saying yes I have a 8:00am appointment she said they over booked my appointment and that they canceled the appointment they could have sent me a text a email or even a call to let me know instead of me showing up and finding out that the couldn’t see me over all very rude service in my opinion i would never go back after this experience

This place used to be awesome but the last couple times I asked for a nail trim and grind my pups barely got a trim and I'm having to return quicker. The last time after I left when i got home my husband asked when I was getting the dogs nails done, he was in disbelief that I had just came back from the groomer just hours before. I miss how this place used to be

My fiancé and I are so happy we found BTB downtown. My pups literally drag me into the store every time we walk by. The staff are really welcoming and the store has a wide variety of services and a cool raw bar. Highly recommend.

Just moved to Tampa and I am SO HAPPY to have found this place! Took my dog for a grooming service and Amber did an AMAZING job! I'm so happy we finally found a pet spa for our fur-baby! Mia LOVES coming to Beautify, as if she's going to school and cant wait to see her "staff friends". This is how I know she's treated well, because she doesn't pull away when we're coming in for her grooming. The staff here treats her like their own and I can tell they all really love her! Mia has always been a super picky eater and finding the raw diet has been the only food she's been happy with. THANKFULLY! BTB has truly been here for all our doggy needs. Notice her cute jean jacket she's wearing? The shop is so cute and well organized. They have all the pup swag from retail, treats, toys etc. Thank you to all the friendly and helpful staff for being so great!

My feisty Pomeranian has been beautified here for the past 8 years after being rejected by big name grooming salons. The caring staff at Beautify the Beast were the only ones knowledgeable enough to understand what my fur baby needed to stay calm. Needless to say we wouldn’t go anywhere else. She’s so comfortable now she doesn’t require ‘special treatment’ but still get the best care and grooming service around.

We tried to make an appointment at the downtown tampa location but their groomer quit, so instead we made an appointment at this location. Drove 30 minutes only to be told they don't have us in their system. Wasted our time and gas.

CBD was life changing for my Doberman and my household. When my Doberman Nico was 8 years old she was going downhill in so many ways. She was starting to have hind weakness, severe anxiety, and she was having internal issues that none of the many vets we took her to could figure out. Many tests, many vets, and all kinds of different pharmaceuticals. It really was an exercise in “practice” for them. When she wore a heart monitor for a couple days, and it came out clear but the vet still prescribed heart medication, I knew I had a problem.I had it. I pulled her off everything and ordered CBD from CBD Dog Health. I initially started her on Ease for her arthritis and Calm for her anxiety and panic attacks. It was amazing! I immediately saw an improvement in her movement and having the ability to ease her anxiety was a huge turning point in my household. After several months of seeing the benefits, I reached out to CBD Dog Health to get some guidance on what I should give her to help with her eating issues and overall older health. They were so great! They guided me and educated me on what would be best for a girl her age (both food and CBD regiment). That’s when I started her on the Heal tincture. WOW. Game changer. Her energy increased, her eating improved, she became playful and sillier than I’d seen her in many years. We were blown away.From then on, I had her on a daily regiment of the Heal and Ease tinctures and Calm as needed (thunder storms or flies in the house- yes she was afraid of flies). At around 12 years old she became very sick. She was lethargic, not eating, not drinking. The vet came to the house, did tests, couldn’t find anything. We thought we were going to lose her. Let’s just say the vet didn’t even charge us for the visit. I refused the offer of steroids and increased her Heal for several days and she actually rebounded 100%.In summary, CBD is amazing for dogs. My Nico lived happily and pain free until she was 13.5 years old. I am forever grateful for this product and what it gave to my Nico and to my family. Forever grateful. Forever thankful.

Something about 3 groomers leaving in 2 days tells me this place has managerial problems. Stay away from the drama!!!Overpriced, cute are awful too.Update from owner response.Gosh a pandemic with groomers who left after the pandemic? Odd. I left the review because you have terrible staff ruining your business. You have many competitive groomers locally who charge just as much if not more, yet they are much more friendly and nicer than your staff. Hence, no more boarding.We all can read the reviews. Your staff doesn't do right by you. I do wish you the best and will be able to find competent people before your business goes belly up.BTW I pay the price to have a great cut and friendly service elsewhere 😛Response from the owner 29 minutes agoHey Dawn, You may have heard that there's a pandemic going on along with a staffing crisis. I'm updating my review in response to the owner's comment.I had an appointment scheduled for 3/28. A Beautify the Beast employee called me to say the groomer had an unexpected leave of absence, the appointment had to be postponed and they'd be back in contact with a new appointment date.I received no phone calls so I left two voicemails because my dogs needed grooming. Still no response so I went into the store. The girl at the front desk said lots of people were waiting for new appointments but to expect a phone call back. One month later, still no phone call.To the owner: You don't have time to call me back but you have time to respond to my negative review?Original Review============Used to be great but now won’t even return a phone call.

I wouldn't know if they do a good job or not, they don't answer the phone or call you back.I called to set an appointment for a nail trim, I was going to do so online but it didn't let me without putting in my credit card info.I'm sorry, but I'm not going to get hacked for a nail trim.So, I called them at 9:20 a.m., I wrote this review at 3:00 p.m.I still have not received a call back.I work a lot of hours and was happy to see they were open on Sundays.I thought, "great I can go in today!" I was so excited to try Beautify the Beast as the reviews were so good. Sadly, I was turned away after waiting 3 weeks for an appointment at the downtown location. When I arrived on time, I was told I didn't have an appointment and that the system must have cancelled me, as I was a new client. That the downtown location was not taking new clients. Yet, the website allowed me to proceed with booking an appointment even though it asked me if I was a new client. I never received an email cancellation, a text notification, or a phone call. I was also told it was their system and that it is being updated/upgraded, or the groomer wasn't taking new clients and may have cancelled me. Initially, I called to inquire about services (which I could not find a specified list of what each level of grooming includes on the website, until I went through the process of making the appointment on line), and I never received a return call. This is all unacceptable. Given the advanced technology available to a small business, this should never happen. At a minimum, a phone call would have been expected. How do you run a small business this way?

I wanted to love this place so bad considering it is the only groomer’s walking distance from me. I went in for a mini groom and asked for 3 areas to focus on for my dog which was his eyes, beard and nails. His eyes were taken care off but his beard and nails were completely missed. I hated the groom so much that I ended up cutting him myself when we got home which is out of my character. This is the before (right when he came home from here) and after (when I trimmed him) myself. Since it was closing time when I picked him up, I didn’t stop to fully examine or provide feedback as I didn’t want to be THAT person who kept everyone late at work. They were clearly too busy with all the pickups before closing time anyways so it felt rushed. His nails were clawing into me before and they still are now so that’s how I know. I paid $55 for a small dog “mini groom” (which ultimately turned out to be an overpriced bath and brush) and I generously gave a 35% tip anyway because I’m no Karen and he’s a doodle, however will not be returning. Onto the next.

Bad experience first time (too short of a cut), gave them another chance & had an even worse experience. Tried to call to reschedule multiple times throughout week prior and left voicemails with no response. Their communication skills are just as terrible as their grooming skills. Ended up keeping appt & wish I hadnt as they basically shaved my dog all the way down until his skin was showing. He hasnt been himself since & the cut looks terrible. To add insult to injury, this place is WAYYYY overpriced. Avoid this place at all costs.

Booked an appointment for January in November due to no availability. They canceled 8 days before appointment with the only option of scheduling another appointment in March because they only have 2 groomers who are booked solid. Offered a free bath to help compensate the inconvenience. The lady who took the call was extremely rude and not willing to show empathy or find a reasonable resolution. Never going to go back to this company

Not really sure what caused this business to plummet, but I’d give a negative rating if able. Our dogs have only been going for about 2 years. They don’t answer the phone, don’t return messages, don’t keep a log of who groomed and what type of grooming, cancel the day of and try to rebook you a month out, and simply do not care to improve. All they want is to charge the $75 per dog and move you along. The staff is hit and miss. The grooming is decent when you actually get to receive it although overpriced. I’m not sure how the new location is doing, but this one is no longer for our animals. We will be making a complaint with the FLDAC. The most irritating is the phone issue though. I mean….imagine your child at a daycare that never answered! How hard is it to just answer the phone consistently?

Sadly, this place has deteriorated greatly. Within the past year or two, it’s been impossible to reach anyone by phone, voicemails are returned days later; grooming services are mediocre at best. With their prices, you’d think they could hire someone to answer the phone at least. They called the same day of my appointment to cancel after waiting weeks of waiting and can’t be rescheduled until another month out. It's unfortunate because they used to be so good. I hope their services improve because looking at their reviews from the last 5 months, it's not going well for them at all.

This place is AMAZING. I took my dog there, and they took such good care of her! After her grooming, they helped me pick a raw food diet to help manage her weight and older age. It’s been pretty good so far. Staff is responsive and very friendly. It’s so nice to have a place right in downtown!

I am disappointed with my pups recent groom. This was the second time I used BTB for grooming services and the first experience was wonderful... but the second experience, not so much. When I brought in my pup and handed her off to the groomer, I told her I did NOT like short haircuts and to follow the notes from the previous groom. To my surprise, I pick up my pup, from a different groomer than the one I originally dropped her off with, and her hair has been shaved....clearly not what asked for or described. I immediately told her (the groomer) it was too short and she responded with "I did this to even her out." However, this didn't sense since the new haircut looked uneven. I reached out on social media and asked if a manager could contact me to discuss my unhappiness, but received no response....

Beautify the Beast is the absolute best! I bring my pups there every time I visit FL and they are just the ultimate professionals. My pups are always happy to go (despite not really liking their nails cut), the service is speedy and a great value! I could not recommend a grooming shop more!

I have used BTB for 15 years. I realize they changed ownership within the past couple of years, and the service has become horrible. I always ask for a classic cut for my breed of dog, nothing unique or unusual, and they have messed it up twice. After the second time, the manager just rolled his eyes and gave me a refund, knowing it was wrong. While I understand that they are busy, we book weeks in advance, and patiently wait our turn. Then we receive a call a couple of days prior to the appointment, and told it has been cancelled, for lack of personnel or some other reason, and we can go to the back of the line to re-book. This has happened three times in the past six months. I grew weary of trying to get someone on the phone (it is rare that the phone is answered) and their website is a mess in any attempts to contact them. I will not be returning due to their inability to keep appointments, or address customer service issues. It is irrelevant if they do a good job or not if they can't even keep an appointment booked way in advance.

My little guy gets excited just pulling up to this place.Update: service has gone down hill since they opened the new shop. Last time I made and appointment for 9am and my pup wasn't done until almost 4pm. Apparently they moved his appointment to the afternoon. On a separate occasion I tried to reach them, leaving a message 3 times, in regards to boarding and I never got a call back..... Until 2 days prior to his next appointment, which we have had for 2 months to cancel on us. I do not recommend Beautify the Beast.

Really disappointed in the quality my last visit. Normally, I am extremely satisfied with how my dog is groomed but my last visit, I was not pleased. Took my dog in for a bath & de-shedding. I even opted to do added services just because I know they do a good job. I picked my dog up and I can smell just straight wet dog inside my car. Normally, she comes back smelling great and you can see how clean and shiny her coat is. Her coat had layer of loose fur, like she wasn't combed through or de-shedded. This visit was the most I ever paid to get my dog groomed and again, I was willing to pay because I knew the quality of their work. Now I'm not so sure.

It pains me to write this negative review, as we have been customers here for years. But the last few interactions have been terrible, so we have gone to another groomer. Not sure what has happened, the previous reviews mirror my experience. Leave message after message, no return call. I made an on-line reservation to bring my dog in on a Monday morning because he had been boarded for a week at a horse farm and I knew he would need to be groomed before I brought him home. When I got there that morning, they insisted I had no appt even though they had sent me several e-mails and texts to confirm!! The attitude of the girl at the desk was a "sorry, not sorry" attitude. Then she confesses that they have had trouble with their on-line appts! When my husband got David on the phone later he of course apologized and asked my husband to please call him right away if there was ever another problem- well, good luck with that!! After the 3rd unreturned message this week, I had to make a switch. The on-line reservation system is very user unfriendly and you can;t speak to anyone to get an appt.

I’m going to preface this review by saying we’ve been taking our dog to this location for over a year. There’s always been an issue with them answering the phone and not returning voicemails but we’ve always been able to get an appointment and have been fairly satisfied with the grooming. So back in September, I called to make an appointment and the first availability they had was for 10/7. We received a text on 10/2 confirming the appointment was on 10/8. We never called to make this change. Tried calling the location during the week but nobody ever picked up the phone! When we take her to her new appointment, they say they only have her scheduled for a bath. We always book her for grooming, she’s a cavapoo and gets fluffy. After some back and forth they said they would fit her in but she would be there longer. After all that nonsense, I’m absolutely disappointed with her cut. They kept her there for over 5 hours and it looks like a rushed, careless job. So disappointed with everything that’s happened. Will not be taking our dog back here.

I brought my foster dog in for a much needed grooming and they did not disappoint! They took such good care of him and made sure he was comfortable because of his old age. The staff is so sweet and listened to our wants and gave great recommendations for his haircut. I also loved that they are an all natural store and have great healthy options for food and treats for your pup. I’ll definitely be bringing him back!

I had brought my dog to this groomer when she was less than a year old (she is nearly 10 now), before it was a little questionable but they did a good job so I was happy.I took Lily here recently and WOW. Total facelift, the inside of the salon was clean and smelled great. She. Came. Out. Sooooo. Cute!!! Jenn let me know how much she LOVES dachshunds which definitely won my heart. The Manager, Jarrett, was working the counter. He was very welcoming the enter time!Inside has a lot of products and cute accessories. Prices were pretty average but there were a lot of “one-of-kind” and boutique-y items.I sent Lily in and I was nervous because she can be a little.. temperamental but they said was an all star!! She even got the sweetest pink bow !!!Thanks so much y’all!

Wow is all I can say. I’ve never been treated so poorly by staff. I have not been to the location in Lutz in quite some time as it was impossible to get anyone to answer the phone so I had been bringing my dog to another groomer. My usual groomer was booked out over a month so I thought I’d take my dog in for a bath and brush out to make sure she didn’t miss a groom. Mistake! It looked like a whole new staff and they were so unprofessional! Primarily the manager. Rude and condescending. I’m still shocked honestly.The manager at the Lutz location came out from the back and barely looked at my dog before saying she was “too matted”. Crazy. He didn’t even touch her neither did the actual groomer, and I can promise that she had little to no matting; however, isn’t that why we get our dogs groomed? My dog is a doodle. We brush her daily and get her groomed every two weeks. With that, there is always a bit of hair around the face that may mat a bit. Again, that’s why we get them groomed.He was SO RUDE. Basically, turned me away and then told me I should try brushing my dog every day. Really??? It’s annoying enough to drive out there to be turned away but then to have someone be so rude about it is too much! I told him that I thought it was total BS and he really couldn’t care less.I’m sure it’s a blessing in disguise as I’ve read some of the reviews since getting home and think we probably dodged a bullet by not getting the groom. Overall take away, I would try to avoid this place. Our pups deserve to be groomed by people that are kind and professional.I’ve included a pic of my dog, taken last night, so you can see how matted she is, lol

Wow, this place is awesome! Great job with grooming, healthy food, & great accessories. The staff is super helpful with recommendations specific to your dog. The staff also has healthy solutions to common issues that saved us tons of money at the vet. The day care service is super convenient and our dog is always happy when we pick him up. Love this place .

My dog has been going to Beautify the Beast for over 3 years now. The staff is wonderful there. Ms. Didi treats my dog as her own. He loves to see her and the staff is so loving. He goes in looking like a beast and comes out looking like a Prince!

I'm so happy Beautify the Beast opened its downtown location! I brought my puppy in for his first bath and nail trim, and everyone was so professional, knowledgeable, and kind! They were very patient with my little guy. The groomer suggested a diet change because she noticed some issues. We spoke with their nutritionist, and the results have honestly been so helpful to both Murphy and me! It has completely corrected some troublesome GI issues, and his coat looks so healthy! He loves going into the shop, too. What a great experience and addition to our area!

Beautify the Beast Downtown is phenomenal! We go there for all of our dogs needs - food, grooming, treats, daycare, etc. You name it, they have you covered. Ownership and staff are super helpful. Very nice folks to interact with, our dog loves them. Top Notch place!

Living at Element, we have used Beautify the Beast for all of our pet care needs on both our dogs (Chica & Cannoli) since moving in. Every experience is great and they always come back home extra fresh after grooming!! You can tell they really take their time and their attention to detail is impeccable. With the recent events at Element Apartments, we couldn’t speak more highly about this business with their willingness to watch our pets for us in this tough time. Providing free daycare for residents of the Element and going the extra mile to care for our dogs and provide a peace of mind during all the chaos is something we couldn’t be more thankful for. The owners are great and every employee truly cares for not only each and every dog they take in but the pet owners as well. I couldn’t recommend Beautify the Beast anymore, as a grooming service and as a daycare service. Beautify the Beast is an incredible company that deserves infinite stars. Today while our apartment complex had to be evacuated, they offered to board residents dogs completely free of charge while we go back up floor by floor to retrieve our belongings. This helped so much and took so much stress off. Thank you guys so much for all your help today and taking such good care of my pup while I got everything figured out. -Taylor and Winnie ❤️

Angie and her team are absolutely phenomenal and it’s not just because of the 5 star quality grooming; it’s Angie’s passion and love for not only the animals but for our downtown community. Today we were evacuated from our building and spent over 8hrs outside in the heat with our pups. Angie and her staff came up to all of us residents sitting outside and personally invited us to board our animals in her store for FREE while we figure out our housing situation. This took a tremendous weight off of our shoulders after sitting out in the heat all day I could only imagine how our pups felt without much water.. or food! Angie was quick to assist and lended a helpful hand to us in need! Angie, us pup parents at Element cannot thank you enough! Thank you for everything you did for us today! Our bich-poo was in horrible shape. Our regular groomer suffered an injury and we waited for her to heal and, six months later, she is still healing and may never groom again. In the meantime, our girl (who won't let us trim her and wiggles dangerously every time we try) was matted everywhere, right down to her skin in most places. We took her to a place near us and they wouldn't take her because the matts were sooo bad! But the groomer from Beautify the Beast took a good 5 mins just talking to me, asking questions and getting an idea of what we wanted. I picked her up a few hours later at closing and had the groomer still been there I think I would have hugged her! Our girl was beautiful and her coat was healthy. Clipped short but not shaved, just like I asked. Perfect!!!! Thank you so much, guys...you are awesome!

After a visit to the vet, who deemed our Chihuahua overly aggressive and would not allow her groomer to trim Vinny's nails, we were concerned. But David, with the patience of a saint and calming demeanor, trimmed Vinny's nails quickly and painlessly! My husband and I are so relieved that this visit went so well for our rescue pup. All of the staff we met were great and helpful! We will definitely be back!

I have been taking my 15 year old poodle Molly to Beautify the Beast for years. Molly is so relaxed going in to the shop that she would jump into the groomer's arms. She has never been nervous when I pick her up ... she feels good and looks good. The groomers there truly love what they do and I am grateful.

I took our cairn terrier for her first grooming today and it was a great experience. She did really well, finished sooner than expected, which means their staff is great with dogs. She looks absolutely adorable and the grooming was very reasonable considering everything you get while there. We'll definitely bring Janeway back to Beautify the Beast 😊

I brought my 7 month old golden to beautify the beast and it was a great experience. It was my pups first time at a groomer and the people at beautify the beast took extra good care of her and made sure she wasn’t afraid of the groomers at all. The owner is VERY knowledgeable and genuinely cares about your dogs mental hand physical health. My dog smells and feels AMAZING!

This is my new favorite place. The inside is SO cute, so organized and has the best toys/clothes/food with the best ingredients for my fur babies! I got my pup groomed and bathed and he was so happy to be there! I didn’t have to worry about leaving him for his appointment because the staff is so trustworthy and truly cares about each fur baby! Definitely the best dog store I’ve been to and I’ve been to A LOT. I will be back!!

I am so happy this location is open in the heart of downtown Tampa!! I took my dog, Nala, in for a bath and was greeted by David. He was super friendly and knowledgable and took her back right away to get started. While I was waiting, I met the owner, Angie, who showed me their wide array of products and talked me through them. She and the whole staff are very informed, friendly, and accommodating. I will definitely be back!

We’ve been long time customers of Beautify the Beast; however the last year or two the service has gone down quite a bit.It takes weeks to schedule an appointment since no one answers the phone or returns phone calls, plus the additional 2 weeks it takes to get the dogs on the books for a grooming.Last scheduled visit I had, I was alone with my newborn & two dogs. I had asked if someone would come to the car to get the dogs and was told yes just give them a call. I was worried about having to carry in a baby and two dogs at the same time right off the busy road.Well no one answered. I called several times from the parking lot and no one came to help me. Fortunately someone leaving saw my attempt to bring my crew up inside and they helped me. I recently called about a week ago to get the dogs on the books and yet again no answer or call back. I’ll be taking my pups some place else nearby moving forward.

This place is the GREATEST! They did an amazing groom on my boy & they suggested a change in his food that solved some big issues he was having. Such a great store too. They have great natural pet foods & supplements, raw meat diets, CBD oil, hemp leashes, toys, doggie clothes, beds etc. The owner, Angie, is awesome & really knows her stuff! Love it & highly recommend! 🙂

The service is just okay. They don't bathe my dog very well, mostly feels like they just spray perfume on her. She never had a fear of her nails getting cut, until she went here - and even when I gave my dogs meds for her anxiety about this, they still didn't cut her nails. I get it, but they didn't even give me a call to tell me they couldn't and didn't offer even a small discount for a service they didn't perform. Overall, they're not bad..just okay

Angie was the BEST. She gave me the best advice and the advice I have been looking for for months. Im very confident her products will be the best thing for my baby. We’ve been waiting so long for this shop to open up because it’s right by our house — and it was worth the wait!! The space is beautiful and the staff was so friendly when we walked in!We were able to make an appointment right then, and I didn’t realize they also carry CBD Dog Health products which my dog LOVES! It’s helped him so much with his separation anxiety. Now I don’t have to travel far to stock up.They were so gentle with my pup during his bath and nail trim (which saved me the headache of doing it myself!) THANK YOU!!Can’t wait to go back!

Best grooming shop I've ever been too! They have everything you need for your pet and everything is natural. The owner, Angela Ardolino, is so helpful and knowledgeable. I have been using their grooming serviced for a few years. Always found everyone pleasant and professional. Took my dog in last month for grooming. When I picked her up, I was told prices have gone up. I wish they told me first. I paid and left a 20 0/0 tip. I mentioned to several friends their prices went up. A friend called to make an appointment. Their prices didn't go up. I got scammed. I spoke to the manager. He found my bill and just dismissed me. Not nice. I won't return.said it was a mistake. Couldn't do anything about it but would talk to the owner. Never heard from him.

It is so hard to find a good groomer when you have an Old English Sheepdog! So happy that I found Kelsey at Beautify the Beast over a year ago because she is great with my pup and he always comes out beautiful. The rest of the staff are always welcoming and friendly and responsive to phone calls and scheduling!

I really love taking my pets here. They always come out smelling so clean! They do a wonderful job at brushing them out. My toy poodle always looks so fluffy! Problem is you have to schedule appointments out pretty far in advance, which can be tough if u have a busy work and home schedule. They stay pretty booked up. When I can’t get my dogs in here, I also like woof gang groomers which opened pretty recently. I don’t recommend Julies grooming.
